Unless you're using HD then 802.11g will be fine, a decent SD picture is 
only about 3-4Mbps, although you never get the full 54Mbps out of "g" 
WiFi it's plenty.

I've viewed SD streams on my laptop over WiFi from my combined 
front/backend using MythTvPlayer, the bandwidth is the same.
