[mythtv-users] Remote Control Problem

I'm using Mythdora so the lircd.conf is in /etc/ instead of /etc/lirc/
directory.

I copy and paste the file that matches my remote control = Hauppauge WinTV
Nova-T-500.

Do I need to chmod this file?

 

By the way, the firmware that I downloaded is dvb-usb-dib0700-1.10.fw

It doesn't show in lsmod | grep lirc though.

 

Any idea?  Thanks.

Looks like everything is loaded fine. So possibly a problem with your config
file (/etc/lirc/lircd.conf) - if it can't recognise your remote then you
won't get any output from irw.
You need to make sure that the config for your Hauppage remote is included
in the lircd.conf file - and there's a few different remotes so you may have
the wrong one. Put them all in, provided they have different names it won't
matter.
Also check that your ir receiver is plugged in to your Hauppage card!

lircd: there seems to be already be a lircd process with pid 2867

Are you lirc modules loaded? (lsmod | grep lirc)
