[mythtv-users] fedora 8 install issues

I installed Fedora 8 because my fc6 install crashed. Everything is
working with the exception of lirc and firewire.  I can deal with
lirc, later.  I installed the 1394 packages from atrpms, and
blacklested the built in drivers.  I get this message in dmesg when I
plugin the firewire.

NOTE: The dv1394 driver is unsupported and may be removed in a future

When I run plugreport as root I get no output.  What am I missing?
