[mythtv-users] How to let other application still can run when live TV program is in the frontend?

When I am watching TV, can I let another timer-triggered application run
and can pop-out another new small window which should be in front of the
running TV video?
Because I found I can't run any other applications when I am watching TV
which is in the frontend.
How to let other application still can run when live TV program is in the
frontend?
