Wyoming, Nebraska, Montana, Utah and Colorado are all 75, 65 in "heavily
populated" areas, which seems to mean a population density over 10 per
square mile.

The only practical limitation in open areas is what your vehicle is
capable of doing, and how much fuel you want to pay for.
