[mythtv-users] Is it safe to restart mysql with mythbackend running?

I think my version of mysql has a memory leak.  I upgraded to 5.0.27 which
should hopefully fix the problem.  Just in case it doesn't, I will need to
restart mysql every now and then.  I'd put it in a cron job but I am not
sure how this will affect the running mythtv.  There doesn't seem to be any
immediate consequences.   I thought I'd ask the question in the subject of
this post.
