Wow...you're right.  I wasn't aware of that at all.  It's too bad it
pauses the video, and appears to actually start a new recording when
you're done.  Then again, seeing how I had to patch my kernel to get
multiple read access from the dvb driver, I'm not surprised it got
implemented that way.
