[mythtv-users] Confused over changing channels via EPG

On my install if I hit the 'info' key when if the EPG it changes to the
channel and OK brings up the record menu.  I think this is the default
behavior.

Somebody clear me up over this; is Myth supposed to do this or not?
I'm running SVN 14931 and have set the flag under "program guide" for
"use select to change channels in the program guide". The hint says that
doing this will allow you to hit select on the guide to change to that
channel while watching live tv.

What actually happens is nothing, except the guide exits, leaving you on
the original channel you were watching. If you clear that flag, select
does as the hint says; it brings up the recording options.

I was wanting to be able to watch live tv, bring up the guide, and
quickly select another "possibly far away" channel, without hitting "O"
and going one at a time through a long list.
