You might want to use ssh -Y, instead.  There's no reason to suspect the
mythtv-setup program on the other host of stealing or tampering with
data belonging to other X programs, and using -Y gives you access to the
clipboard and other niceties.

If you do suspect that it may be stealing/tampering with data, feel free
to browse the source.  :)
