Since you said that I had to recompile it against the current libs, isn't that what I am doing?  Or are the RPM update packages not putting the current libs on my machine?

Oh.  I didn't realize you had rebuilt MythWeather since the update. 
However, you're definitely compiling it against an older version of the
libs.  The packages installed the newer libs (0.20.20070821-1), so I
recommend looking for the old libs somewhere on your system (i.e.
/usr/local or something).
