[mythtv-users] Unable to record and scheduled recordings lost

Mike,
Thanks for your response.  I did try everything and absolutely nothing worked.  
So, I have just installed MythDora 4 and it has worked very well, 
autodetecting everything.  Coward's way out I guess!
