I prefer Internal for the simple reason that the keys and interface
are both consistent.  I do find that the Internal player is not as
good with some of the more esoteric video codecs (OK, not so esoteric,
wma and some others) in terms of sound or some other issues, but it
works well enough.

On another note, I had been having major issues playing DVDs with any
of the players.  I recently replaced the DVD drive, and now all works
fine.  I think the somewhat ancient DVD drive I was using was the
problem.
