Just as a follow up to this, I have FINALLY fixed the problem. It wasn't
a permissions problem after all, something incredibly bad had happened
to the archiveitems table in the database.. I dropped it and re-created
it and its all good now. It would have been REAL nice if there was
something in myths logs to have pointed that out, but there ya go.
