CBS needs to find a new business model.

Fox picked Family Guy back up because DVDs of the first season were  
selling like hotcakes.  They decided they needed more content to  
sell, and that meant broadcasting more seasons.  Advertiser revenue  
becomes less important in that sort of scenario.
