Ubuntu 7.04 or 7.10.

     Read the MythTV.org wiki article on installing Ubuntu on a Mac Mini.
It is a very good step by step guide for the basic mythtv setup on Ubuntu.
7.04 seems to have integrated ivtv support and 7.10 has integrated lirc
support.
