Yes,  that's it.  When I schedule them on the frontend on the master 
machine, they work, but if I try it on a slave machine they don't get 
into the queue.  Strange - the slave machine is storing them somewhere, 
because if I go back into the popup later, it shows that the job is 
scheduled (it says "stop transcode" instead of "begin transcode") - not 
sure where this is stored.   This slave works great otherwise, so I know 
the database setup is ok.
