Depending on what you use to display your video it may not matter. The 
50/60 thing is due to the design of the ota tv signals in your area. If 
the signals you are processing are 50 hz pal format and you display them 
at 60 hz the display software adds 10 lines of data to fill in the 
missing data. Makes the picture a bit more blurry. Best to use a set 
designed to receive the ota signals in your area and a modeline to 
match. If you are displaying to a monitor it may accept both standards 
but you should still be using  the one for your area.
