[mythtv-users] XV problems with MythTV and MPlayer

Hello all,

Apologies, I know it's not strictly a MythTV problem, but it's something
some has probably encountered before.

I have a brand-new installation of FC6 x86_64 and MythTV 0.20 from
ATRPMS on new hardware consisting of:

AMD Athalon X2 3800+
Gigabyte NVidia 7300GS
DViCO Dual Digital 2

And an assortment of other hardware.

I am using the NVidia binaries 1.0-9755

My problem is that HDTV (or that matter, any digital TV) is very choppy
and essentially unwatchable. The following appears in the terminal of
the front end:

--------------

The XV problem is reproducable on MPlayer as well, though it seems to
fall back on something else that works reasonably well:

tzap -r "SBS HD"
mplayer /dev/dvb/adaptor0/dvr0

which gives the following output:

Playing /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0.

Which all seems a little crazy, because I have a similar configured
machine with the only difference being a NVidia 7300GT (as opposed to
GS), and I have no problems at all.

Unfortunately, xorg is a gap in my knowledge and I would deeply
appreciate any help.

[mythtv at localhost ~]$ xvinfo
Xlib: extension "XVideo" missing on display ":0.0".

And here's my xorg.conf file:
