Now that certainly looks very promising.

My other thought was just to (attempt) to run the already-existing  
MythFrontend binary on an AppleTV. Seeing as the mac binaries can use  
QuickTime for video, and "they" have got the AppleTV running  
arbitrary OS X apps that it's in good stead for being quite a  
competent SD front-end.
