As I understand it you are correct in your statement that only SBS & ABC 
have different channels on the same multiplex. The others do run the 
same channel multiple times (e.g. Prime 1, Prime 2, Prime 3) which could 
be handy if you are recording things off them back-to-back. You would 
assign the same program lineup info to the secondary channels.  I think 
the ultimate use of multiplexing would be to record different channels 
on one card instead of having 3 cards for 3 channels for instance. At 
this point in time I personally can't see much use of multiplexing in 
Aus due the limited number of channels and lack of any sensible channel 
delivery.
