I am no expert but whenever I need to build something on my xbox I use 
distcc and another machine on my network with a much faster processor. 
Maybe someone else will comment on what arch you should use when 
compiling on that Via board. I would think that the default Pentium4 
setting should be fine but have no experience with it so that will tell 
you what its worth :)
