It has to do with using the '6200ch' utility in /contrib to change
channels, as opposed to the method built into mythbackend, and then
specifying the -s switch. (Actually, that reminds me; I should also
mention that I don't currently use 6200ch to change channels, although
given the likelihood that some library/kernel module has changed as
opposed to any MythTV code I suspect it likely wouldn't have made a
difference to the universal channel-switching success I've seen since
the Fedora Core 6 move.) Nothing to do with actually capturing a
recording over FireWire per se, unfortunately in your case.
