There are several remotes available that support Mac OS X. I use
the ATI Remote Wonder II, and it works very well with MythTV and other
applications. You can set the function keys to start applications
like MythTV, DVD Player, etc. You can even do mouse controls from
its direction-pad.

The Apple Remote is also supported in MythTV, although the limited
number of buttons can be an issue. It could be used in combination
with a network remote or VNC to do the less common functions.
