[mythtv-users] Cannot run mythbackend with init.d script - runs fine at command prompt.

I've just installed mythtv from the 0.19 debian sarge package. Install
seemed to go fine but I'm running into a problem starting the backend.
If I start the backend from a terminal window it loads up and happily
sits there downloading EIT guide data and waiting for a frontend to
connect.

If I try to start it using the init script, it fails. Looking in the log
file I see:

I could understand the above if there were a problem with the database
password, however it works fine if I run it from the terminal prompt,
whether logged in as root or as the mythtv user. Any help would be much
appreciated.

regards,

drbob
