[mythtv-users] Can't make picture adjustments; ongoing TVOut issues...

When I'm watching a recording on my 0.20 BE/FE combo on FC5 I cannot
make any picture adjustments. When I hit 'F' and then then try to use
the arrow keys, I get a -1 instead of the usual 2% adjustment up or
down. I have the FE running from a terminal and I get no errors when
this happens. I have two other 0.20 standalone FEs that works fine. Only
major difference I can think of is they are running FC3, but I can't
really see how that makes a difference.

I don't know if this is related, but when I start to watch a recording I
get this in the ouput:

I do have some performance issues with my TVOut (fx5200/SVideo) so maybe
it's related to XvMC? I can't say my issues are "tearing" but I would
describe it more like a loss of frames. (no HD here)

I also have issues with the brightness on TVOut. I was hoping to use the
frontend's brightness controls to adjust, but even when the FE is not
running, I can see it's way to bright. I've tried adjusting controls in
nvidia-settings, but I don't see anything specifically for brightness.
TV Hue is set at zero. 

Any suggestions?
