Just use the default and then edit the config file (maybe something like 
~/.xmltvrc or ~/.xmltv/*) by hand to disable everything and then enable 
just the channels you want?

Change the channel numbers (using the channel editor in mythtv-setup or 
MythWeb).  They can be anything you want (but don't modify freqid--even

You need to put the XMLTV ID into the XMLTV ID field.  BBC1 is either 
the channel name or the callsign provided by your grabber.
