[mythtv-users] Mytharchive - Jerky/choppy DVD playback

Hey all,

I finally got around to burning a DVD with Mytharchive but the playback 
is nasty.
I tried it on 3 different DVD players and got the same result.  The 
playback is very jerky on panning scenes, not to bad with other motion.  
It even happens upon playback of the intro "Myt TV" clip before the 
menu.  Sound is in synch and fine, just jerly video on action scenes.  
The recorded show plays fine through a mythtv frontend (not viewing the 
DVD, I didn't try that)

Any ideas?

System:
2.26 Ghz P4, 1GB RAM
Dedicated backend server
Ubuntu Dapper Drake
Myth 0.20 (0.20a plugins)
normal cable (non HDTV) source
Newer DL DVD recorder
burned to a DVD -R at SP rate
