I could be wrong, but I thought specifying "nvidia" was not the way to
get the proprietary driver.  I think what you want is "nv" but, again,
am not 100% sure. 

And, please, folks...I beg of you.  SNIP useless junk from responses.
It's frustrating to scroll through 100 lines of quoted responses with
six or seven embedded >>>>> lines to read one line of added comment.  At
the very least, cut out signatures.  It's a waste of space and a
distraction to the discussion(s) at hand.
