My PATA/SATA interfaces are also set to latency=0. My onboard SATA is
set to 0 and I can't change it, but my PCI PATA card default sets to
32, which causes all sorts of problems, so I force the PATA card to 0
as part of my mythbackend startup script (they control my RAID10
recordings array). I've not noticed any issues with this.
