The webserver and the backend are running on the same machine. The
database is running on my main server, but mythweb seems to have no
problem reading the show information from it.

My filesystem is layed out like this:

ls -ald /mythtv/
drwxr-xr-x 3 mythtv mythtv 4096 2006-09-10 14:00 /mythtv/

ls -al /mythtv
drwxr-xr-x 3 mythtv mythtv 4096 2006-09-10 14:00 .
drwxr-xr-x 22 root root 4096 2006-08-18 23:30 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 mythtv mythtv 1136058368 2006-09-02 16:30 1001_20060902160000.mpg
-rw-r--r-- 1 mythtv mythtv 40216 2006-09-09 22:02
1001_20060902160000.mpg.png
....
-rw-r--r-- 1 mythtv mythtv 1165561856 2006-08-19 19:00 1114_20060819183000.mpg
-rw-r--r-- 1 mythtv mythtv 37926 2006-09-09 22:02
1114_20060819183000.mpg.png
-rw-r--r-- 1 mythtv mythtv 0 2006-09-08 11:20 nfslockfile.lock

I even added user www-data to mythtv group to see if that might fix,
but after restarting apache I still can't see them.
