I used a windows box, but it is all web-based and uses a USB cable.
Basically, you create your profile online, and harmony (logitech)
stores that based on a unique login id.  It then programs your remote.
 I do believe that the software is windows based though to load the
script onto your remote.

Looking at the webpage
(http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/detailsharmony/US/EN,CRID=2084,CONTENTID=9933)
it appears that it requires either windows or a mac.  If you dont have
either you may be out of luck (and it is likely not something you
would want to program without having your mythbox near by to test and
tweak the lirc settings with).
