If you use the contributed script, myth_archive_job.pl (which has 
nothing to do with MythArchive, BTW) instead of nuvexport, you don't 
have to move recordings to MythVideo--they'll stay in the recordings list.

Yeah don't use MythVideo--keep the files in the MythTV's recordings list 
using myth_archive_job.pl.
