[mythtv-users] sound not recording

I am trying to set up my pcHDTV 3000 card as an analog card to be used 
with a Directv receiver.  I have it mostly working.  The remaining 
problem is that sound is not recorded.  I suspect this is because in the 
video capture card configuration, where it asks for audio device, I have 
put nothing.  I am not sure what to put.  The only option it gives me is 
null.

I can see in the logs from mythbackend that there is an error when it 
starts recording:

2006-09-03 18:46:52.171 NVR: AudioInit(): /dev/null : error setting 
audio input device to 44100kHz/16bits/2channel
2006-09-03 18:46:52.172 NVR: Could not detect audio blocksize
2006-09-03 18:46:52.183 NVR: /dev/null: error setting audio input device 
to 44100 kHz/16 bits/2 channel


I have tried typing in ALSA:default into the audio device, and that was 
unsuccessful (it works for audio output in the front end).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
