Hi Alan,

Sounds like excellent progress.... but before you rush into the MythTV
setup you should do more to verify your tuner card....
Troubleshooting tuner cards from within MythTV is an exercise in
futility!

Test the card by installing:-

apt-get install dvb-utils
apt-get install xine

Open and close xine to initialise the users .xine directory.....

Then run the following command:-

scan /usr/share/doc/dvb-utils/examples/scan/dvb-t/"COUNTRY_CITY" | tee
~/.xine/channels.conf

(NOTE: "COUNTRY_CITY" the dvb-t directory for the correct country code
and city)

Assuming your ~/.xine/channels.conf is populated with your local
channels you can edit it to reflect the ones you actually want to have.

You should now be able to view live tv through xine.

Good luck,

Leo
