Sorry, I left out the "Can we do all these thing from Mythtv?"

I was hoping you could easily "archive" an avi file to DVD, and after
digging a bit, myth does that in 0.20 pretty easily.  I had only burned tv
shows.

I was hoping MythTV could easily rip from firewire source.  I have not
figured that one out yet.

I was hoping the MythTV avi player would be nice and smooth, but it is not
for me.
