[mythtv-users] Stand-alone Frontend and FF of recording playback

Hi,

Long time reader, first time poster.

I have 1 FE/BE MythTV box, and 1 stand-alone frontend box.
On the FE/BE box, I can playback recording and fast forward just fine.
On the stand alone FE box, I can playback the same recording just fine but I cannot fast forward.  When I FF, the playback either plays in slow motions or jumps all the way to the end, but when I resume from FF, the video start from the beginning or somewhere very close to there.  I can't for the life of me figure out why.  The only thing I can think of is each front end has its own settings in the database.  Can anyone help?
