Hello all,
Am trying to fix a few fairly major problems I've gained since upgrading
to 0.20 from 0.19 where I haven't had those problems before. Am going
to try one by one...
Firstly. On one of my Linux frontends (called Hinata) running Debian
Sarge, I want to watch DVDs on it. When I was using 0.19, I set up the
DVD module to start mplayer with the relevant commands to make English
subtitles display and point to the DVD device to /misc/cd. That worked
perfectly fine, until I upgraded to 0.20 where pressing return the menu
just vanishes for a second or two then returns. I get the following
error message:
--------------------------------------------------------------
<snip>
2006-10-29 18:28:46.135 RingBuf(dvd://misc/cd): OpenFile(dvd://misc/cd, 12)

If I manually run "mplayer dvd://1 --dvd-device /misc/cd" it works
perfectly fine. So I wanted to sanity check what command the DVD module
passes on to mplayer, but when entering set up, mythfrontend crashes and
there's no obvious error message I could see. The log file ends above
as soon as mythfrontend crashes. The following is mplayer's output when
running the above command.

Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong here and how can I fix the problem I'm
having please?
Thanks very much for your help in advance!
Cheers - Piers
