I would highly recommend going with the serial cable route. I had a  
terrible time with my blaster (that I bought, not made) missing  
channel changes. It hit the channel about 50% of the time. I know  
others have had good experiences with their, but I couldn't get it to  
happen after several days of trying. I bought myself a serial cable,  
null modem and USB to Serial adaptor and haven't missed a channel  
change since.
