ATI in general has very poor Linux support. You will pay either way.
Sick with ATI, and at best you will probably pay with your time. You may
never get it to work right. It may be fine...but unless someone here knows
specifics about your card, then it's a crap shoot.
Go with NVidia and your wallet will be $50-60 lighter, but you will have a
card that has pretty good Linux driver support and is well supported with
MythTV. IIRC (I don't own one) - the GeForce 5200 boards are a great value
for the money. You will most likely get it working with much less time
investment.
