What'd definately help, is if you tell us what versions of Myth and MySQL
you are using?   ;-)

If it is anything before .19 together with Mysql >=5.0, you could have an
issue with the fact that MySQL closes the connections too quickly... (If
so, upgrade Myth or downgrade MySQL. Keep in mind you should make a
database backup before either action...) Your best bet is to run the FE
verbosely and capture the log output. There is usually quite a good
indication in the log *what* actually went wrong...

On my box (Previously 0.18.2) the BE kept dying because of MySQL closing
the  connections... The BE was successfully restarted, but the FE had lost
it's connection with the BE...
