[mythtv-users] AC3 passthrough working but only 2 channels?

Has anyone seen this?  I have AC3 passthrough working to my JVC 
receiver.  I get the full Dolby Digital indicator to light and all 6 
channels of speakers light up but sound only comes out the left and 
right speakers.  This is on HD recorded, VOB ripped, and DVD playback.  
If I play the same DVD in my home DVD player, I get the proper sounds 
out the back speakers so I know the receiver works. 

Is there something I have set wrong in my setup?  I've checked the AC3 
passthrough box outputting to ALSA:default.
