[mythtv-users] Internal Video player OSD almost unreadable

I'm playing a Xvid en-coded Video and when I pause I can hardly makeout 
the OSD time display the font seems to to be not rendered correctly or 
resized to a point its hard to read.

Note is the Internal Video player the same player as MythTV Player? as 
that is fine for Mpeg recordings. and does the codec or file format make 
a difference with OSD display?

What can I set to improve the OSD display?
