Ok, I tried to watch some 1080i on my bedroom frontend, which
previously worked fine with 0.19, but now with 0.20 (0.20-fixes
compiled with --enable-proc-opts) I get 95-100+% cpu usage with no
OpenGL sync or deinterlacing enabled. With 0.19 I was getting 60-80%
cpu usage with Bob on. This is on an AthlonXP 1600+ with an FX5200. If
I play the same file with mplayer I get 40-60% usage, so I can always
fall back to that (what a pain!).
so 0.20 is definitely using more CPU for XvMC playback than 0.19 was
on this machine. Anyone have any ideas why?
mmx seems to be enabled:
