[mythtv-users] Cheap & simple solution for Optical SPDIF output

I have a cheap USB "soundcard" and it has a few seconds lag when playing
anything. I currently use it as the output for mythmusic, straight into
my (stereo) amp, and use the onboard soundcard for everything else.
Whenever music starts playing, or I pause, there is a 3-4 second lag.
This only happens with the usb device, whether it was used for music or
video. So maybe the problem is with the usb sound drivers?
