Hi, I have two xbox frontends. Also bought two dvd remotes. You can get
them really cheap. You don't need to worry about it being generic or not,
both will work. Although LIRC needs some tweaking to get to work with the
generic remote (see pointers here
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Xbox_Install_using_E_Images). I don't
use anything advance features of the mythfrontend, since all I care about is
streaming recorded programs to the xbox frontend. As someone pointed out,
the menus are slow (slower with 0.20), but once it starts playing, it seems
to be okay. I wasted alot of time trying to get wireless to work and gave
up, so I stream through the LAN. I am content with the setup, but the xbox
is alittle loud to leave on in the bedroom and booting takes some time.
