Thanks Nick.  This basically worked.

If anyone tries this, though, remember to first mkdir for the new mount
point (e.g. mkdir /data1 in my case).

Also, I found it easier to leave the old /video as a local directory under /
until I reconfigured mythtvsetup to point to /data1/recordings.
