[mythtv-users] Are PVR-500's safe to buy new right now?

The noise issue is fixed in Kernel 2.6.18 it was due to the preamp's not
being turned on by the ivtv driver, after compiling 2.6.18 my cable tv is
virtually the same as plugged in to the tv. If you patched ivtv (adding
1,4,8 to the tuner string) or are using 2.6.18 then disregard this...
