[mythtv-users] debian and rhgb

This is somewhat off topic, but it involves myth....

I have a Sharp LCD TV, which will only sync to a single specific
modeline. It will not sync to anything that a framebuffer will put out,
nor will it sync to the plain text console signal.

So I am interested in running X at boot. I run debian, and would like
to keep doing that, but RH / FC and friends have rhgb, red hat graphical
boot, which seems to be exactly what I am looking for.

Has anyone grafted rhgb onto a debian system? It will start X early in
the boot process and show a status bar for boot.

Or should I just download FC5?
