You may want to check bugs.gentoo.org to see if anyone has contributed
an ebuild yet.  I'm still on gentoo-sources-2.6.17-r2 and ivtv 0.7.0 but
if I were looking for a new ivtv version not yet in portage, that's
where I would start.
