I don't think getting the wrong length is the problem. mytharchivehelper
actually uses three different methods to get the recording length
depending on the type of recording, how accurate the length needs to be
and how quickly we need to get the length (you don't want to wait around
2 or 3 minutes when using the UI while the length is calculated). The
last parameter determines what method to use 0, 1 or 2. See
mytharchivehelper --help for a brief description of what each one does.
In any case I don't think the calculated length has anything to do with
audio sync .... but I could be wrong it's not unknown ;-). Looks like
Geoff is back on the seen maybe we should bend his ear on this one.
